For some time now I have had some trouble with my Sapphire AMD 7850 2gb OC.

I have two monitors/ screens. One is a samsung p2470h the other is my tv. The LG pk350 (connection runs through a onkyo 718 amp.

On recent drivers my samsung screen has become unusable. I have uploaded a photo:

Strangely catalyst 13.2 is working fine. When I installed the driver I had the same corruption. Manually forcing the pixel format to YCbCr 4:2:2 results in a clear picture. Any other settings automatic or manual are a no-go. This is obviously not normal. In newer drivers this doesn't fix the problem anymore.

The corruption is visible while displaying desktop, games or movies. On 13.2 with pixel settings something like crysis 3 is no problem

I have tested the following:

catalyst 13.2, 13.3, 13.10v2. Just 13.2 works with pixel format setting.

I have switched the cables between my tv and monitor and hooked up everything directly. No matter what setting or connection. The tv always gives a clear picture. The monitor does not.

However if I hook the monitor up to another device, like my laptop it works fine. This has led me to believe there is a hdmi handshake problem between the 7870 and the monitor.

Allso the information segmend in the OSD of the monitor suggests that the input recieved is 2400x1080 when the corruption is present. Even though in CC everything is set to 1920x1080. When the picture is normal the input is received correctly as 1920x1080. Howeven lowering the resolution does not result in a clear picture.

Do you have any suggestions?

There doesnt seem to be much input about this problem.

I will update to 13.9 whql and test that one. If it doesn't work there i'll fill in a support ticket.

*Edit, still the same problem

Have you tried DVI? You say it's a monitor, so it should support it.
