Your card is not supported for 8.1. Why 'upgrade'? The features in 8.1 will not work with your card. That said, some have used the Leshcat or modded drivers from Guru. Google it.

No s**t. Try reading the sticky in the LAPTOP FORUM. Don't compare your laptop with desktops....

You're not alone, there are problems with the auto detect tool at the moment. However, no sane person would use it anyway. You know you have a 7k mobility, so why not just download drivers for 7k mobility? Even better, why not just download OEM drivers made for that certain laptop?

I am also having the same issue with my htpc gaming rig. I have an xfx 7870 that ran great with 13.9 And 13.11 drivers but when I  updated to windows 8.1 I did not have any CCC drivers working and no drivers for my GPU. The only drivers that work are an old Copy 13.4 that I had. Any driver newer 13.4 crashes my pc. Any ideas or suggestion would be great.

Found a solution for the HD 7570. After trying all "total uninstall" and "clean install" methods described everywhere (what other software is this hard to remove and reinstall?!) and nothing worked, I stopped by the Dell Support page for my service tag for the umpteenth time and looked around. At the bottom of the screen was a graphics upgrade for HD 7570, flagged for Windows 7 machines. I have an 8.1 machine, so who cares? Well, that little bugger did the trick. When I ran it, the Catalyst installer offered me CCC, and it installed fine. Next stop, Flat-Panel settings to remove the darned overscanning, and now my 8.1 displays are great again.

Hi all, following Windows update from 8 to 8.1, five HP Pavillion 15-e030-so from our students facing drivers conflicts and not working properly. Case has been investigated with HP, which has no solution though a user group is trying to work with Intel to solve Intel/AMD graphic drivers conflicts after updating to 8.1. Maybe some of your problems are related to the same root cause.

At this point of time no reply from Microsoft nor from AMD.
