AMD RADEON HD 6850 - EAH6850 DC/2DIS/IGD5/V2

Catalyst version 13.9

Windows 7 (Service Pack 1) x64

In order to run most current games i have to reinstall my drivers and catalyst each time i restart, i've tried uninstalling all me drivers using driverfusion and reinstalling but this hasn't helped.

The games that are affected are ROME 2, Farcry 3, Civ 5.

It seems to be only in Directx 11 games, but as soon as i finish the install for the catalyst. Its just annoying seeing as it takes an hour to install each time.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Sign #1 of a broken system. If it wasn't broken before, now it is.

it takes an hour to install each time

Sign #2 of a broken system unless you use a 66 MHz 80486DX2.

Todo:

1. Check your computer for hardware errors. (CPU speed/multiplier/C&Q; HDD speed -> PIO vs UDMA && IDE/SATA settings in the BIOS)

2. Reinstall the broken OS. Use a clean, unmodified source (retail disc or MSDN ISO).

3. Don't forget windows updates before installing Catalyst.

4. Only install other 3rd party softwarwe (like AV) after you have updates and Catalyst installed properly.

No hardware errors detected but a clean install of windows did the trick.

Thanks for your help!
