HI, well I have this problem since last month and I tried all the possible solutions I could find on the internet, I checked the temperature and the highest its 66°C, so I dont think that its a problem, then I clean all my pc, I checked my hard disk.

Well I thought that the problem was the video driver, so I tried to install the latest driver uninstallyng first the last one and then installing the 13.11 beta castalyst driver, it works fine for a few hours but then again the same problem, even when I just start my pc the problem occurs. Yesterday I uninstalled this driver and I was using just the vga controller windows for default, I didnt have anymore the blue screen problem, So today I installed again the latest ati video draver again and the problem occurs, On the blue screen appears this "atikmpag.sys - Adress FFFFF8800400AE84 Base at FFFFF880044000000, DateStam 52448fda" , So now I Looked for atikmpag.sys  archive and I renamed it as atikmpag.sys(old), well I restarted my pc and however the ati catalyst center is not working well cause I renamed that archive, well I dont have the bluee screen problem so as I can see the problem is with the ati video drivers? Well these are the charateristics from my pc:

Processor: AMD Phenom II x4 840  3.20GHz

Operative System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits

Video: ATI RADEON HD5450 DDR3  Size: 1Gb

Motherboard: Gygabyte

I was using the original driver from the cd Ati driver version 10.2, then I installed the 13.9 and then 13.11, I had the same problem with all these drivers.

HELP ME PLEASE GUYS, Thanks.

I can only give 2 pieces of advice:

1. Try updating the BIOS of your motherboard if there's an update available.

2. Try the card in another computer.

Well I dont know if I need to update my BIOS, but do u think that this problem is from BIOS?, I was reading and it says that it can be dangeorus and can generate other problems, maybe I can try my graphic card in another computer, its a good advice I will see but however I have 1 hour with no AMD catalyst control center and all its ok, so maybe another advice cause I think the problem its the video driver.

If you have no Catalyst installed your card is turned off. The picture is made by the CPU and only passes through the video card. Of course then you have no issues.

Trying in another computer first should've been #1 maybe on my list. Then if it works fine, it may indicate a motherboard problem. Then it should be replaced or just reflashed if it can help.

Well in fact its installed, but I just renamed the archive "atikmpag.sys" to"atikmpag.sys(old)" and when I restarted the pc appears a message with Amd Catalyst center its not working because the driver found an error, So I think its because I renamed that file, So Catalys its not working now?

As I can see the only way to know if my motherboard its fine is trying my graphic card in another computer so I will do that and let see what happens. Thanks for the advice

That makes it like it wasn't installed.
