Based on that profile picture you linked to and on the fact that you weren't able to read either the terms when you signed up or the "read before posting" sticky, I might add that there's more going on there than the brand of your monitor.

We can get a good idea of what kind of person you are based on your actions to date. You need to, as we say, calm the hell down and discuss things logically. You're talking about an a six year old casual game like it's a matter of life or death, and you're talking about monitor firmware and EDID as if they were critical to a game not crashing. If this were an issue with Samsung, Gateway, or AMD Catalyst drivers, do you really think in six years you would be the only one complaining about this?

"we" ? "actions" ? I just registered here, indulge me what kind of person am I?another psychic? wow tell me more oh all knowledgeable one calm down? seriously?whats so angry about my post? discuss things logically ? even more than it is? 6 year old game isn't that old, that 2nd pc with the p4 cpu is when did I say it was "a matter of life and death" obviously you don't know what edid or firmware is or how it can affect things,I suggest you research & read everything  before posting and  letting me know your personal opinions

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EDID

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firmware

its already been pretty much confirmed by everyone that its AMDs drivers not supporting modern samsung displays edid/firmware when launching luxor 3 (samsung,AMD,mumbo jumbo & me to the best of our knowledge have pointed thats the problem)   you want to contradict all of us? gl no there are a few others with this issue, samsung & AMD have successfully reproduced the exact same error message

1. Just registered here without reading the terms and conditions, which states that this is a community (peer-to-peer) forum. Still, you target AMD in your thread title. We are not AMD.

2. Also didn't read the stickies and didn't do anything you're asked for in them. This is kind of breaking the rules already.

3. Demanding tone.

4. Mirror selfie with duckface, like a 10-year-old girl.

5. No punctuation.

6. Thinking font style makes your argument more valid.

Stuff like these drive our "psychic" powers. Even on the internet you should behave and be polite and use proper language.

And a tip for your issue:

1. Open CCC.

2. Go to monitor properties / Attributes.

3. Untick use extended display identification data (edid) or driver defaults.

4. Click OK.

5. Reboot.

From now on Catalyst will ignore the EDID completely. If you indeed have an EDID issue, it will be gone.

I added "AMD" because that's who is responsible for fixing the drivers,I never said you were AMD

read the stickies,my pc specs are listed,AMD knows my WHOLE pc config already (belarc, directx report etc)

(The catalyst driver crew is already aware of this issue)

demanding tone?  from typed words? Im just listing facts where did I type in all CAPS?

again with my pic really? duckface etc? I think you're trolling because of something else

I was not making a face or anything in that pic,I was testing out my camera on my new phone at the time

why are you insulting me when Im just talking about AMD drivers?(self hate?)

punctuation? I add punctuation here & there,Im not writing a college history paper

my font is to emphasize and make it clear of what Im saying "you should behave and be polite and use proper language"

take your own advice, you and black posted "insulting" comments to a non-insulting original post  I suggest you post information without insulting comments or personal opinions of what you "think" of me or what games I play

I don't see anything regarding properties / Attributes or edid in CCC

(I have catalyst 13.9 under advanced view)

I just see "restore factory defaults",which won't do anything its a driver issue NOT a catalyst settings issue

As you have stated, blue900, AMD's Customer Care is already very aware of you, your concerns, system specifications, and long-outstanding issue with Luxor3.  There is nothing more to add than that.

If your intent was to simply bring the issue to the attention of AMD, then   I will lock the thread as that has already been accomplished.  If you are interested in working with the forum community to work through any troubleshooting suggestions or advice individuals may have, then I'll keep the thread going.

To you, and all who post - keep it on point and curteous or I'll lock the thread.

;Marc

Of course AMD is "aware",they've been aware for almost 3 years...

you guys are very good at being  "aware",never had such terrible customer service

this has deteriorated my relationship with AMD as a customer and I cannot recommend this company to my family, friends, acquaintances etc for customer service

This may deter me from purchasing AMD products in the future

Ive contacted AMD countless times over the last 2 1/2 years(email, phone, catalyst driver crew,BBB complaint,AMD supervisor etc)

have submitted  countless computer information (system model, video card, display, belarc and direct x reports, edid from my samsung display & a gateway one,the windows memory error dump file the game generates every  time the game fails to launch, video proof your drivers don't work(youtube)

Ive provided more than enough evidence to show the drivers DONT work

My intention is to show that your customer service with me has been terrible

0/5

I have a supervisor that says "Im going to continue working on this,we work closely with samsung" but my emails are ignored,"transferred" back to regular

AMD support,or my amd ticket is closed without reply or reason

samsung says the same

Samsung has escalated this outstanding issue to their tier II department, research & development team, software team, and product specialist team. They stated they have not been contacted by AMD
that they call AMD and no one answers "it just rings and rings and rings" they won't answer or return our calls. If somebody does finally answer they don't answer their questions completely and that they get transferred to another department which no one answers

they have the direct phone number to the AMD supervisor that this issue is under
(this is not a regular AMD issue, its under an AMD supervisor) which he states "he cannot break it down"

Samsung also states they have seen the exact same error message and that they need the "mac addresses" to AMDs video cards to provide a solution via monitor driver or firmware, but AMD has/or
won't provide them with that or any necessary information or details on this issue

updated ^^

I don't think the community can help but if they wish to try

You really need to start using Steam, LOL.

Interesting that I never contacted the support department of any company in my whole lifetime and I'm almost 30. Whining and not being able to solve your own problems... AMD is not your mother, you know.

Ive provided more than enough evidence to show the drivers DONT work

AMD said they know about you. However, in no way are they entitled to do whatever you say. Deal with it and stop crying, go and learn some grammar and punctuation in the meantime.

AMD support,or my amd ticket is closed without reply or reason
Reason: You behave like a 6-year-old.

Supervisor? Samsung escalating your outstanding issue? Your real problem is that you want to look so important. You happen to fail.

I suggest that lock happen indeed. There's nothing we can contribute anymore.
