Hi.I'm running W7 64 and catalyst 13.9 with amd hd6450. I have a LCD monitor connected through vga.

My monitor (viewsonic), from what I understand, has a bad edid and CCC doesn't list the native resolution of 1680x1050. When I look in "Properties (VGA Display)" theres a maximum resolution of 1600x1200 in "monitor information" and "monitor attributes" and "Use extended display... (EDID)" is select.

However, I can get my monitor's native resolution by unselecting "Use extended display..." and choosing a maximum resolution of 1680x1050. After that I can select that resolution in "desktop properties" and everything is fine.

The problem is that everytime I reboot the computer the "Use extended display..." option in CCC is select again, there's no native resolution and I need to do the all thing again.

I've tried different versions of catalyst drivers and they all do the same. I don't understand why the settings aren't saved after a reboot or what else to do (aside from getting a new monitor or a video card).

Any ideas?

Probably a corrupted registry/bugged UAC issue. Reinstalling the system will help if you're up to it.
