Im using a HD6970 and I just installed the new driver: 13.11 betav9.2

http://www2.ati.com/drivers/beta/amd_catalyst_13.11_betav9.2.exe

I noticed the fan speed doesn't increase anymore. The previous versions didn't have his problem. The previous versions increased the fan speed but they did not set it back to normal. The new version doesn't even turn it up anymore. Temp was 85°C when I noticed. I don't want to make a barbecue on my card. Thanks for the nice heating in winter but I prefer to don't burn my house down.

Whats wrong with the drivers? Im having fan speed problems for so long. When will it be fixed? Why do the amd card suffer with fan speed problems? They are so loud and power hungry. green cards don't have this problems.

Problem? Why don't I have it? Am using the same series card, and have used all the betas...using the latest beta now on COD Ghosts and runs beautifully.

Read this and edit your post to include the needed information. Then someone might have a solution or ask you for some more info. Otherwise all you will get are guesses.

No problem. I will never buy an amd card again. They are power hungry, get hot and the driver support is bad. I guess its time to join the winner team. I finally want a real card with a bugfree software. Im sick of this red card which sounds like an airplane.

Hmmm...no one refers to their graphic card as a "red card"...do they??  Oh wait...mine are actually red!  I think the actual shade is a "troll red".

Why did you install that version of driver in the first place??  Did you read the release notes? You give NO information on your system specs other than you are using a four year old card, albeit a good card.

Maybe others run their cards on auto when gaming...I NEVER do!

Looks like you'll have to join this and start working on it then. Nvidia and Intel are worse.

How come they run better than? The drivers support is better and they are faster with drivers? How come more peole are using green cards?

You really think AMD cpus are better than intel ones? They are jsut cheaper but intel has way more power and a better performance. Sorry but im done with the red side.

I was talking about the companies themselves, not their products. However, you know that very well, so I don't even know why I'm replying to trolling. If you switched to Intel/Nvidia, why are you still here bumping your ancient thread no one cares about?

Hey guys! I am totally new here, so a cannot figure out, how to open a thread, so I'm posting my problem here, because its related to the new beta driver too.
I've just bougt a sapphire r7 260x 2gb oc card. My problem is after I installed the betas including 9.2 I keep get black screen freeze after I exiting a game, or launching one. Sometimes working the car properly sometimes not...  Now I reinstalled the windows, I installed only the driver without control center.... it seems working fine, however after the 3d mark launched, in the middle of the test, I got black screen freeze again. In my theory.. it somhow related to the catalyst or else gpu/vga controlling program such as the msi afterburner. So a uninstall them or not install, and now seems to I able to play games normally.
What can be the problem? Could anybody help me?
My system specs: Phenom II x4 965 3.4 @3.6, Motherboard: MSI 870A-G54 (MS-7599) bios version 17.18. 550 chieftech psu, 6 giga ddr3 ram r7260xvga, 13.11 9.4 catalyst driver, windows 7 professional x64

You should start a thread of your own...this thread won't have many viewers.
