during the install of the 13.11 beta my screens went black and my pc didnt respond. after the problem occured i uninstalled all the amd drivers , ran a driver sweeper and tried again . The same problem happend again , after this i did another unistall and installed 13.9. The same problem occured.

After that i reinstalled my Windows 8.1 Pro (x64) and tried to install the 13.9 drivers again. This did not help apparantly , the problem still persisted and now i cant even install the drivers without CCC.

Do not use the AMD sweeper it is designed for Windows 7 only. It will destroy the admin rights for a Windows 8/8.1 system.

I use another utility to clean up Windows 8/8.1 systems, if you want here it is.

When you say that reinstalled 8.1 did you do a refresh ?

I know i shouldn use the AMD driver sweeper , it has too many issues to be used reliable.

I used DDU when i uninstalled the drivers/cleaned them.
I didnt do a refresh of windows 8.
I had windows 8 installed and did a clean install of windows 8.1 while formatting all my hdd's

I figured out what was causing the problem.

I underlocked my GPU by about 10% to avoid some problems i was having in the BF4 beta and this caused the installs to fail.
I switched the bios switch to bios 2 and it worked.

The strange thing is that i have underclocked it before and installed new drives while it was underclocked without problems , perhaps a bug or something that has been overlooked in the current driver version ?
