GPU: XFX R9 280x

Catalyst version: 13.9 (also tried 13.11)

Driver: 13.152.1.8 (also tried 13.25)

OS: Windows 7 64 bit

Monitors: ASUS VH238H (This is the monitor I'm having issues with) Connected via HDMI

                HP w2207 Connected via VGA

CPU: Intel I5-2500k

I installed my new R9 280x yesterday and ever since then my main monitor is slighty blurry.  The image isn't sharp at all, and it's giving me a headache! (Resolution is 1980 X 1080)  If I uninstall the AMD drivers, the problem goes away (but I can't use duel monitors).  It's driving me batty!

Before the new GPU install I had an XFX HD 6870 and the ASUS monitor displayed just fine.

Any ideas?  Please be gentle!  First post!  Happy to provide any additional info if needed.

For whatever reason, AMD drivers are configured to believe that any HDMI connected display is a television using overscan.  Probably because that was very true at some point in the past, but is becoming less true as more and more people use HDMI for computer displays (which really is fairly bizarre).

You need to find the overscan option in the drivers and turn it to 0%, then make sure your display is set to 1:1 pixel mapping.  According to the manual with yours, that means opening the OSD and setting Image -> Aspect Control to "Full", not "Over Scan".

I had the same problem. You solved my issue as well. Thank you!
