Having my first foray into building a machine and I'm having one issue after another. First AMD Card I bought was having screen flickering issues( but no driver stopped working issues) so I brought it back and got a 270X. Now im having driver issues. They happen randomly and I dont have a consistent reproducible test. 

Any help or advice is appreciated. 

Graphics Card
Gigabyte R9 270X 

AMD Catalyst Driver Version, and Driver History
13.11 beta9.2

Operating System
Windows 8.1 64 bit

Issue Details
Randomly while gaming or browsing the internet I'll get a Driver Stopped Working message. The screen will go black and then return to the environment I was in. 

Motherboard or System Make & Model
MSI Z87-G41

Power Supply

Corsair 600W modular supply. 

Display Device(s) and Connection(s) Used
ASUS PA248Q - DVI

Applications and Games

FFXIV, BF3

CPU Details
Intel i5-4670K @ 3.4GHz

System Memory Type & Amount
8GB, unsure on model atm. 

Additional Hardware
TPLink N600 Wifi card. 

1TB WD-blue HDD

There have been a few BIOS updates for that motherboard lately. Almost all have the fix called " Improved memory compatibility" which is the jolly joker update to display when they fixed something embarassing they don't want to talk about. I suggest you try that 1.4 update if you don't have it yet.

I have the same CPU diferent motherboard and I have R7 260X and I am the same problem. Seems to be to be a driver issue.

Have you tried the TDR fix in the FAQ section ? It's pretty common and is a Windows setting...not graphics.

There are many kinds of TDR issues. He didn't even post an error code, so how would you know you have the same?

Because the sysprems were the same. FYI after testing and experimenting of the AMD drivers site downloading the Microsoft Certified drivers fixed the proble. It is a shame that they are not easly found rather than pointing straight to the Beta drivers.
