This driver is no good if you play Skyrim. The game crashes very often and the framerate is unstable. I installed the v13.11 beta v9.2 again and now the game works just fine with steady 60 fps. I use Display Driver Uninstaller v9.6.1 to remove older drivers, very good program

I have a Sapphire R9 290 card

And wouldn't you know, it still doesn't address many of the problems with Linux gamers.  This serves as a constant reminder of why I shouldn't have purchased an AMD card....

You should have purchased a Matrox. They're much better.

I would use a cleaner utility if you run into problems installing the new drivers.  Until recently, even AMD offered:   AMD_cleanup_util_1.2.1.0 and ran without problems for me making it unncessary to install a driver multiple times as frequently required previously.

BTW, downloading new drivers automatically won't necessarily give you the latest beta drivers.
