Windows XP does not have and will not have any new drivers. Stop using it and upgrade to 7.

AMD dropped Windows XP support long ago. If 50% of your customers use Windows XP x64, which was a bad idea even when it was released, then you're not doing your job in getting people to stop using it.

According to amd.com a 260x doesn't exist. Only 250 and 270. Are you sure you have such card? Is it OEM?

Also don't forget that XP x64 is only available through a VL channel, and I don't think you make an IT job for giant corporations. If so and you have to come here for help, well, that sucks... So you want drivers for a pirated OS. Nice one.

I dont know, which amd homepage you've checked, but according this website: http://www.amd.com/uk/products/desktop/graphics/R7/Pages/amd-radeon-hd-r7-series.aspx#2, its pretty much an existing card.... OMG.....

The driver download page. For Win7 x64, the mainstream OS of course.

It looks like there is no driver for that card at all, for any OS. That's why I suspected it's OEM.

The 260x is just a rebranded HD 7790, and there are plenty for sale at Newegg for $139.99, but if you were using a supported OS, which is Windows 7, 8, and 8.1, then you would have drivers provided by the manufacturer. But you AREN'T using a supported OS, and that's your problem. It's not AMD's problem, it's YOUR problem.

What if we scroll down a little bit? Look what I found.. a driver for r7 260x

Feature Highlights of The AMD Catalyst 13.11 Beta Driver for Windows

  • ?Includes support for the new products:?
    • AMD Radeon™ R9 280X
    • AMD Radeon R9 270X
    • AMD Radeon R7 260X
    • AMD Radeon R7 250
    • AMD Radeon R7 240
  • Performance improvements for the AMD Radeon HD 7000 Series in the following games:
  •
    • ?Total War™: Rome 2 - improves performance up to 10%
    • Splinter Cell® Blacklist™ - improves performance up to 7% on single GPU and AMD CrossFire™ configurations
    • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim® - improves performance up to
But If I understand this:
  • DirectX 11.2 - Tier 1 Tiled Resources now supported on the following products:
    • ?AMD Radeon R9 280X
    • AMD Rad?eon R9 270X
    • AMD Radeon R7 250
    • AMD Radeon R7 240
    • AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
    • AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series
    • AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series well.... it means the dx 11.2 now supported by the listed products... so it not means the card r7 260x dont exist related to amd homepage, it means this driver doesnt provide dx11.2 support for r7 260x....

No, Sunnyslow, what it means is that at that point in time AMD has not added the DirectX 11.2 tiled resources feature on the 260X, which right now doesn't mean jack as DirectX 11.2 is a Windows 8.1 exclusive and the OP is using Windows XP.

Since MS isn't going to be supporting XP very soon, I suggest you get you and your customers off it fast. I am pretty sure MS is offering an upgrade incentive too. Check it out.
