AMD HDMI Audio Device does not list any compressed audio formats for passthrough (in sound config), though my receiver accepts them. Attempting to play media that requires passthrough results in either:
1) no sound and very slow playback, or
2) downmuxing instead of passthrough
The switch and receiver function; the specific HDMI->Switch->Coax Audio->Receiver audio path works with Dolby Digital passthrough from PS3. Monitor Asset Manager reports that the HDMI is getting this report in regards to audio:
CE audio data (formats supported)
LPCM 2-channel, 16/20/24 bit depths at 32/44/48 kHz
LPCM 6-channel, 16/20/24 bit depths at 32/44/48 kHz
I don't know if compressed audio formats should be listed there.
