I still use Windows XP 32-bit for older games, in particular games that work with EAX.

Has AMD announced it's suspending driver development for Windows XP 32-bit? I believe MS still supports Windows XP 32-bit as I still get updates for it.

AMD dropped support for XP long ago, and Microsoft will drop support in 4 months. You need to upgrade to Windows 7 or 8.1.

Way to not read the OP... There's no need to upgrade, it's a dual boot, and for a valid reason.

Regardless, drivers may or may not happen. AMD did make XP drivers for the 7790 (or whatever which didn't have them) eventually, even though no one expected it. AMD has also updated the legacy driver set recently, even though no one expected it. AMD is full of surprises. Keep praying and don't use EAX in the meantime. You can't anyway...

There's not any mention in the OPs post that he uses anything other than Windows XP, only that he still uses Windows XP for older games, and that could be taken two ways, one is a dual boot setup like you assume, and the other is that he uses it as his primary OS like I assume. He says he is using Windows XP for EAX, even though in Windows Vista, 7, and 8 for Creative sound cards they made a program called Creative ALchemy which adds EAX support for older titles, which led me to think he is holding off upgrading to a newer OS because of that reason, since he most likely has a Creative card for full EAX support.

Yep Eydee is right I have a dual boot w/Windows 7.  I'm not willing to struggle to get older games that use EAX working right in Windows 7 and there are other reasons I still use XP (legacy applications).

EAX works fine in XP, it even has hardware acceleration.

I was interested in whether or not AMD has made an official announcement that they will no longer support Windows XP.

There could possibly be one more release before April, but I wouldn't hold your breath for it.

Best way to find out is asking AMD I guess. There's a contact link on the bottom of the page.
