Hi, I had just bought the radeon 7790 (ASUS OCed 1GB). I had removed the old nvidia GPU drivers via device manager but I forgot to uninstall the other Nvidia software that was installed. My GPU was working fine with the installed stock drivers and software along with the nvidia software for a period of time until i uninstalled them (nvidia software) and as a result my Windows Aero and several features was disabled. I decided to update my AMD gpu drivers without removing my old drivers that i installed with my 7790. The 1st and 2nd time is crashed. 3rd and 4th time it still crashed after i removed the old drivers. I had found out you needed NET 4.5 so installed it but it still crashed

Effects:

Crash/BSOD when uninstalling or installing non-CD drivers and software by AMD (no error message)

Details:

Safe Mode Windows: Says AMD detection drivers failed to load (most likely  caused by safe mode)

Crash when install manager reaches detecting graphics hardware

Crash/BSOD- There was no blue screen but windows indicated that it was a BSOD- Crashes computer to restart (back to start screen/BIOS)

Versions tested

13.9 (AMD)

13.10 (AMD)

13.10 (from ASUS website)

Your OS must be seriously damaged. I suggest a reinstall.
