I thought I built a pretty decent system, but it's been sluggish and I've had video issues for some time. blue screens, driver crashes, and forget about using Sleep in Windows 8.1 x64.
I believe it is the AMD drivers for the HD 7770 card. I wouldn't expect too much support as this is not a flagship card. I, like most, installed the most recent driver, hoping for a cure, but was left with only frustration. I tried to revert/install the 13.9 driver, but the current driver kept installing.
For me, I used the AMD Cleanup Utility, and rebooted.
An old AMD driver auto-detected and installed itself. Then, the damn current driver installed automatically.
I just used the Device Manager's "Roll Back Driver" button and I'm left with AMD driver version 220.127.116.11 from 9/27/2012.
The performance is already better. I will run with this for a while.
Doing my best to support AMD
