This is my graphic card : VGA XFX|FX-787A-CDFC HD7870 2G R

So, is this normal ? I think it is quite high.

When I tried to adjust the speed fan at 100%, nothing happened !  So, I decided to download MSI Afterburner, set to 100% and it worked !

What should I do, will my graphic card explode if I keep using it with Catalyst ?

Is it a new card? If not, check the thermal paste on the GPU.

You need to replace the thermal paste on that card. Its an XFX double edition. Shouldnt be anywhere near that.

Hell I can't even get my 7950 @ 1.125V @ 1100mhz to hit 90C.

But if it is brand new or even a few months old, you should contact XFX about an RMA.

Assuming sufficient power and case airflow, you need to RMA it.

Yeah...removing the shroud will void your warranty.

Be aware that an XFX Double D card will not necessarily exhaust the hot air out the back of your case!  Be sure that both fans are turning and the fan connector on the card is not loose or disconnected and there is plenty of unobstructed airflow in the case!

What is the temp reading at auto fan (idling)?  Is the fan ramping up at those temps?  If fan does not increase speed, RMA the card.  At 50% fan?
