I don't think AMD video cards have a wifi adapter built in them, so I don't think they should support anything like that. AMD drivers may as well bake pizza or raise cats.

That's the point, with Windows 8.1, you just need a wireless device that NDIS 6.3 or higher(PowerShell, then Get-NetAdapter | Select name, NdisVersion) and a display driver that's WDDM 1.3 or higher

AMD, way back in Oct 2012, posted this http://community.amd.com/community/amd-blogs/amd/blog/2012/10/22/miracast-and-amd-displaying-your-content-on-any-screen-in-the-house

And this(scroll down to AMD Wireless Display and Windows 8.1) http://community.amd.com/community/amd-blogs/amd/blog/2013/10/18/amd-microsoft--collaborating-for-great-performance-and-user-experience-with-windows-8

But, even with Catalyst 13.12, still no Miracast support when using dxdiag.   My notebook(Samsung R580, from 2010 that has a GeForce 310M) works great with Miracast, because when Windows 8.1 came out, Nvidia had a driver ready to support it.  We're getting to be 3 months in to 8.1 and still nothing from AMD.

Try transmitting a game insted of dxdiag. It doesn't even have graphics since Vista.

NXTwoThou was referring to the fact that the dxdiag output tells you explicitly if there is Miracast support.

I'm waiting on Miracast support too.  I was using win7 ultimate and upgraded specifically for the Miracast support in 8.1... and the AMD drivers don't.

I have HP Laptop with AMD A10 CPU and Radeon HD 8650G,  Ralink RT3290 wifi adapter. with Netgear PTV3000.

when I try to add devices, the PTV was detected and pairing was processes, but only get 2 seconds registered.

I mean the signaling is geting communicated, but failed negotiation.
