I came upon this article in the FAQ

http://support.amd.com/en-us/search/faq/57

I then realized I was using CCC with an AMD CPU and according to that article it is not optimal.

So I set out to download and install Vision Engine Control Center. I found this URL: http://www.amd.com/us/products/technologies/pages/vision-engine.aspx

used the download link below and selected the approriate download (13.12 Win7 64-bit) and did a proper uninstall of CCC before running that exe I downloaded.

When I was all done I still have CCC installed and not the Vision Engine CC.

How do I get Vision Engine Control Center?

VECC and CCC were the same thing, except that VECC gave CPU overclocking options, which is completely useless, as CPU overslocking happens in the BIOS.

When AMD realized this, and also that people still called it CCC regardless of the name change, they changed it back fortunately. So now everyone has CCC. I'm not sure if CPU settings appear for AMD users but it doesn't matter. If you need to overclock, use the BIOS.

Alrighty that clears it up thank you. It'd be better if AMD just didn't keep outdated information on their official website.
