Wondering if anyone can offer any suggestions.  Not sure if it's got anything to do with windows 8.1 or my card, but for some reason my system won't run the latest installers for the drivers.  Gives me a "This app can't run on your PC" error message?  Asks me to check with the publisher for the correct version for my PC?

At first I thought it might have something to do with Windows 8.1, since I first encountered the problem after updating from 8.0.  But I upgraded to a R9 280X around the same time so maybe it might have something to do with that too perhaps.

I have gone back and tried the previous versions of the drivers - last version that will install without a problem is 13.10.

Have summited a bug and have look around online but haven't been able to find any solutions.  Have tried doing a complete uninstall and reinstall but that doesn't help.  Trying to run the installer in compatibilty mode or as admin didn't make a difference either.

Currently running Windows 8.1, 64bit, with a Sapphire R9 280X Toxic.

ANY suggestions or help would be appreciated.  Cheers in advance!

Corrupted download, try a different browser/download manager.

Hmm cheers bud I'll keep trying.  Thought it might've been a corrupted download so I have already tried downloading it several times, from Chrome AND from Internet Explorer...  none of the downloads for versions 13.11 and beyond have worked for me thus far.

Gonna try again now, blah.  Fingers crossed.

Alrighty, after 4 more download attempts, twice through Orbit downloader, once through Chrome, and once more through Internet Explorer, FINALLY got a working copy.

So looks like it WAS a faultly download.  Weird though how out of the dozen or so copies of 13.12 and 13.11 all but one copy got through uncorrupted.  Never had this much trouble before.

Cheers Eydee.  I owe ya one.  Go buy yourself a beer and pretend it's from me!

I'd run chkdsk, memtest and prime95 to make sure the system is stable. If you got a corrupted file through several download solutions, something else was corrupting those files. File system error, faulty RAM, unstable CPU etc.
