Hello all,

since I have Win 8.1 I have a problem with the very old game "Enemy Territory". Normally - I had 90 fps and no lag. Since I updated driver from 13.4 to higher version - I experience massive fps lag - down to 15 fps in some maps. No driver above 13.4 helps - all cause massive fps lags. Except complete de-install of Catalyst and re-install of 13.4 helps. I have no more idea what to do, so I am here for help. And sometimes even CCC crashes!

My OS

Win 8.1 - 64 bit
16 GB Memory
128 GB SSD
ATI 7850 HD (no OC - neither HW nor SW OC!)

One note:

I deactivated quick start of my win 8.1 - now the 13.4 driver survives the reboot. But later driver versions dont

Sounds like software rendering... If 13.4 works, extract atioglxx.dll from it and put it in the game directory. Then you can keep later versions and still use 13.4 with that specific game.

Same, OS, same game, same problem.

I took atioglxx.dl_ out of the 13.4 folder, added it to the W:ET folder and run ET (as admin, in xp, win7 win8 mode etc). It didn't change anything at all. Then I renamed the file to dll, but then et wouldn't even start and got me an error message like that was not a valid win32 file.

Do you know anything else that I could try? Got 13.12 installed.

atioglxx.dl_ is a zip archive. You have to unpack real dll from it

Thank you! That solves it. For anybody else suffering: 7zip does the job. If it doesn't,the folder probably requires admin rights. Just move the packed dll file to the desktop or somewhere else.
