I must say after reading all the bad rep around here, driver 14.1 works great on my setup!

I have Sapphire Dual-X R9 280X and on BF4 I used to get ~60 fps max previously with directx, and now with Mantle enabled I get ~90 fps max and I really feel it works very smooth.

Another benefit I see is much less tearing effects when turning off v-sync. (this is probably due to the higher frame rate)

And as an added bonus, I also don't experience any more random flickering of the screen, which I experienced on driver 13.12

I don't know if it's worth mentioning, but I did use DDU to clean up everything before installing the new driver.

Again want to say thanks, I am very pleased with the current version.

All my Direct X games are running smoother and with increased frames with 14.1, the Crossfire framepacing is great too. The only issues I am running into is Mantle actually working, and when I can get it to work it runs the same or slower than DX11. These are BETA drivers though and sadly that means that they won't work for everyone. This is the first time I've had any issues with a Catalyst Beta and am paitently waiting for the next Beta or WHQL release.

Half of these 'complaints' in here are more than likely from nVidia trolls doing their due diligence and wasting theirs and everyone elses time. Most of them can't say more about their complaint than a very basic blurb. When pressed on the matter they yell "AMD SUCKS, NVIDIA RULES" and leave giggling like the children they are. Those who do actually have the cards and legitimate complaints can normally get them worked out by talking to guys in here. If it cannot get worked out on the BETA drivers, then we move back to the 13.12WHQL release and wait.

OP: I am jealous of you. I was very much hoping to see some at least halfway decent gains with my setup. But it looks as though I am waiting until next go 'round.

People complaining about BETA drivers having issues: If you cannot troubleshoot problems, or report them to AMD and help the process then you have no business downloading and complaining about a BETA driver.
