AMD Clean Uninstall UtilityLast Updates: 3/17/2014

Article Number: GPU-601

??The AMD Clean Uninstall Utility will attempt to remove previously installed AMD Catalyst™ driver and AMD files and folders from the system.  It is recommended to run the utility prior to the installation of a new AMD Catalyst driver.  This may help prevent errors relating to missing/corrupt files associated with the AMD Catalyst software that may occur during/after the driver installation process.

The AMD Clean Uninstall Utility can be downloaded from the following link:

NOTE: The AMD Clean Uninstall Utility is designed to be supported only on systems running Microsoft Windows® 7 and Windows 8/8.1.

Do not use with AMD processors. They left that part out.

Seems like they don't test with their own hardware...

There's a third party utility called Display Driver Uninstaller that is both better and safer. Works with Nvidia and Intel graphics as well. I'd recommend that.

Personally, I use the tried and true Driver Sweeper version 3.2.0

I would avoid Driver Sweeper since it's no longer maintained and 2,5 years old. Such software has a risk to them to begin messing systems up eventually. Driver Sweeper seems to have been replaced by a commercial software called Driver Fusion.

AMD Uninstaller then Driver Fusion...beauteous!

Doesn't hurt to use CCleaner in Registry clean up, either.
