I was told and I also read the amd video drivers were connected to chipset drivers

Is this true

I having an issue with hanigng pre win boot

There have been reports of it uninstalling more than it should.

Readers would do well to look in the driver install package and actually see what they are installing before doing so.  Same thing when uninstalling drivers.

It is not necessary to uninstall AMD drivers before installing nVidia drivers, unless you're still using Vista.  Windows 7 supports multiple graphics vendors at once (as XP does, but which Vista does not).

You gain essentially nothing but a tiny amount of hard drive space.

Well, there are a few startup services and also CCC set to automatically start on boot. It wouldn't be wise to leave them there.
