This is the first Catalyst release I can think of where the red/pink tint present when using the Use EDID option in display color is resolved, and that it actually uses the color settings of your monitor. Can anyone else verify?

HP ZR2440w (LED backlit, IPS display) connected via DisplayPort.

Yes the EDID works with the 14.4. In the drivers before enabling EDID would result in slightly red tint. Too bad Flash videos keep giving me random BSOD and other crap in 14.4, so it's back to 13.11 Betas for me, sigh, otherwise the 14.4 would be great...

Edit: I got Asus PB278Q monitor...

Hello,

since I installed the latest graphics drivers (24/04/2014)for my Matrix rog hd 7970 3gb when I restart the PC the colors become a faded red one, I tried a clean driver with the application of AMD but nothing to do. Intrigued by this problem I changed the resolution from 1080p to 1080i and everything returned to normal, then are passed back to 1080p and all normal colors have remained normal, but when I restart or turn off the PC occurs again the same problem and each time i have to rerun this operation to bring back the normal colors. Please if I would be able to help me solve this little problem, thanks in advance for the help.

I have purple screen but I do NOT have that EDID option, how do I solve this issue?

By using an older version that worked for you and filling in the issue reporting form.
