Hello,

1 of my 2 HD4890 cards in crossfire - had a fan failure.  I looked at replaceing the fan, but it seemed more expensive than if I bought a new card.

So I discarded the card, and bought a R9 280X specifically because it was claimed it could suport 3 monitors without Display Port - which is exactly what I have.  I thought a nice way to get rid of the second card altogether.

Now it turns out that the R9 280X only supports 3 non-display port monitors if 2 monitors are identical (something about only 2 timing chips).  I wish this had been stated somewhere other than complaints on forums that it does not work.

So, now to get all 3 monitors to work, I need to reinsert the HD4890.  I install the driver (Windows 7 Home Premium) and all three monitors function fine.

The moment I try access CCC after the 3rd monitor on the HD4890 is installled, it wont open at all.  I have to disable the 4890 in deice manager, and reinstall the R9 280X driver, before I can use the CCC again.

Any help please?

Regards

Grant

Yes, I guess its an option....

Though Widows does support multi graphics driver installs, why not CCC?
