Hello Guys,

i´ve got an issue with my R9 290 Windforce OC since i installed the 14.6beta driver. My graphics card is running much hotter (louder) than it is with 14.4...

It is about 5 - 7°C hotter and the fans go up to 85%... With 14.4 it stays around 78°C and fans at max 65%... Another problem is that the clock speed of 1100mhz is not really stable anymore.. With 14.4 it is.

I would be thankful if anyone could help me here.

Best regards,

roudee

Reinstall 14.4

Or try reducing your OC.

I felt like this these 14.6RC2 were running hotter and louder too, but I have no real data to back that up.

If you want real data, try monitor fps, gpu, cpu, ram, vram usage and temperatures with msi afterburner in-game (don't neglect installing rivatuner when asked), with all catalyst drivers that you want to test.

Do the comparison and see if the added heat means better fps performance or not.
