So I've been having some problems with the game State Of Decay. You can read avout it on my post on their forum here https://forums.undeadlabs.com/threads/unrendered-world.44363/ Not much reading required. Anyway, from the latest post on that thread, someone said this.

"Your gpu drivers are not WHQL signed. Please roll back to 14.1 stable from official amd site.".

What exactly does this mean? Does he mean install drivers from a previous version number? If so, I thought that once you input your driver type in thier installation process it will only give you the latest beta patch and stable patch. Need some info here.

You can clean install (use DDU) any past, present or future driver you want anytime.

14.1 catalyst driver is not a whql/ signed by microsoft tech guys driver, and may be stable for the guy but that doesn't mean the same for me or you.

Same goes for all drivers. Some people and some games benefit from latest drivers, others don't. And it's the same with driver or game issues as well.

You cam check if a driver is whql with gpuz or type "dxdiag" on windows search and run the diagnostic.

Latest beta drivers usually have more optimizations, especially for the latest games, mind you.

Link to latest WHQL and BETA drivers (64bit) from AMD Official Site:

Link to previous WHQL AMD Catalyst Drivers:

If you want additional previous beta drivers, search on good sites like Guru3d.com

Make sure you reduce any oc, that your gpu temps are good (65-78° C during game load) and do not force/ override aa.

Test some drivers and temporarily stick with the one that works for you.

Thanks.

Where did you or whom told you to NOT override aa??  Doing so works very well in Watch_Dogs!

Read carefully this line from the op:

So I've been having some problems with the game State Of Decay.

Now read carefully this thread:

http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=454&threadid=174918&enterthread=y

Lastly, please, take a few minutes of your time from watch_dogs, and test the game "State Of Decay" with 14.4 whql, 14.6 beta1 and 14.6 RC2 june23 drivers.

1. do you get artifacts in-game with or without overriding aa with the 14.4 whql driver ?

2. do you get artifacts in-game with or without overriding aa with the 14.6 beta1 driver ?

3. do you get artifacts in-game with or without overriding aa with the 14.6 RC2 june23 driver ?

Do you have no artifacts whatsoever in this game, regardless the driver used ?

If so, then congratulations, you are one lucky son of a ................................................ gun
