A friend of mine has a rather crazy setup. He asked me to support him since I told him to get a R9 290 graphics card for his new system.
He has a 3 FHD screen Eyefinity setup plus an HDTV for multimedia and gaming. The HDTV is supposed to mirror the screen of the Eyefinity screens.
As I tried to make it work at first we connected the 3 Monitors with 2x DVI and 1x DP. Eyefinity works like a charm. And we are very happy with the results.
Now we wanted to connect the HDTV via HDMI. Unfortunately CCC didnt recognize the new Screen. To be a little more precise here, it did pop up for a short time "unknown screen".
I thought about it and for this particular setup I can think of 2 possible issues:
- The Gfx Card driver cant recognize 4 Screens
(maybe only a beta driver issue, as we are using the latest beta version 14.7 Beta 7/10/2014)
- The Gfx card cant run 2 different resolutions at one time
Is there a way for this setup already? If I was overseeing something please give me a hint.
