Why is there no way to install drivers outside of the horribly broken catalyst install manager? Why isn't there a god damn .exe I can run that will just install the driver and install the control center.

Instead I have this CIM tool that fails to install graphics drivers and successfully installs your bloated vaporware.

Seriously ***** off you incompetent *****.

It's either reformat (which I don't know if it'll work), or go buy an nvidia card.

Hello nvidia.

Someone as obviously incompetent as you, since you don't know how to untick a tickbox, needs to go to an Apple store and buy a Mac.

That's completely unfair. You make it sound like it's an easy one step process. He has to pick custom first. That's two steps.

"Why isn't there a god damn .exe"

Didnt anyone tell you? That is a request item. Contact AMD.

Regular .exe's come with driver packages.

For incompetent users Windows Update offers drivers, now along with CCC as well. It's a one-click install.

i love AMD but it's drivers really annoying. U can't just update it, must full reinstall manualy and not the fact that the new drivers will work fine, or just do stand up. 14.7 very very bad release, but there is still no solution to the problem.

Stable versions come very rarely, and beta each time causing a bunch of hemorrhoids.

In addition, Nvidia supports all old video cards. AMD greatly disappointed by removing support of HD4xxx.

Maybe I've been lucky.  I've just been installing the releases as they come out, and things have been fine.  Once right at the beginning of this year I installed one of the betas to try to work around a problem with monitor power-down mode in 13.12, and it went in and worked fine.

Maybe the original poster just isn't a good candidate to be installing beta software?

Don't believe everything you see on the internet. I've been just updating (installing on top of the old one) for more than 10 years without a single issue.

i know that Catalyst never correctly work by simple upgrade. I use it from 3.x or 4.x and saw all kind of bugs. No new features or interface, or any other problems.

Regarding beta versions 14.x they just do not put on top. And wait for a stable version for a year do not have patience.

I've been installing drivers on top of each other ever since my Radeon 9600XT days on Windows 2000, and the only time I've uninstalled them is when I've had to downgrade or when I've changed cards.
