Today i installed the latest beta drivers. Everthing was fine but after rebooting the pc it wouldnt start. The power light is on and theres 1 long beep and 2 short beeps repeating. Theres no display whatsoever and the monitor just stays on power saving.

Im almost 100% sure the drivers are the cause of this since its the only change ive made today. I dont think theres an easy way for me to remove the drivers though since the computer wont even boot.

Im using a Radeon HD 7700 graphic card.

Does anyone know if this can be fixed? Im pretty much a noob when it comes to so stuff like this so please bare with me.

When you say the computer won't even boot, then it has nothing to do with the drivers if it can't get past the POST and/or bios checks.

Based on the motherboard you have, you should be able to google or look up in the manual what those beeps mean.

For starters, make sure the card and power connectors are seated fully and properly.

1 long + 2 short is always a video adapter error. Your video card is probably dead. Try it in another computer.

Sorry for the late response. I´ve had the pc checked out by a computer workshop and they said that even to them the problem is a mystery.

Theyve taken out the video card and replaced it with another one and it works fine. then they took the video card and tried it on another system and it was also fine.

Basicly the video card no longer works on my system but it DOES work on other systems. I also mentioned installing the beta drivers to them and they said the same thing Qwixt says. They are now trying to remove the drivers and see if that works, i´ll probably hear from them tommorow.

If anyone has any other ideas of how something like this can happen I´d like to know

I had motherboards back in the day that wouldn't work with a certain video card even though it had worked before. Hardware IS a mistery...
