Posting this where an AMD employee might see it.

In tracking down a problem with my video card that proved to be bad RAM, I discovered a GPU memory tester written by and for the Folding@Home project.  The tester was first written in CUDA, then ported to OpenCL for more general support.

Main site:

Source code:

While the code is rough around the edges, it does seem to work.  This would be an extremely useful capability to include in the CCC for users and IT to test hardware on a troublesome machine.

I don't think it's a good idea. Companies are money hungry. First they'd include the feature, next day it would give false positives just to make people buy new hardware and bring more profit. Tools like this must remain strictly 3rd party.

Or they'd just not be as effective, look at Windows Memory Diagnostic vs Memtest86+, or AMD Graphics Overdrive vs MSI Afterburner/Rivatuner.

That's some impressive tinfoil-hat thinking there.

The notion that AMD would create false positives for faulty GPU memory is laughable on so many levels.
