I recently purchased a PCI HD5450 and performed a fresh install. When the process reached the point where it was to unpack and install the catalyst center I got the error message "Application Install: install package failure!"

I restarted into Safe Mode but the Detection software would not run.

I downloaded the driver from AMD/ATI's site and got the same error trying in both modes.

I tried installing the driver with the A/V turned off and my firewall is not blocking the software from running. Oddly enough Hydra vision installed.

How can I obtain a working copy of the display driver? I am running a Win7 32-bit box.

The Windows Installer service in your system must be broken. Reinstall the OS, install updates, then try again.

My Windows Installer is fine. Its the driver that is corrupt and the corrupt driver was pressed on to the cd that came with the card.

Again, where can I obtain a working copy of the driver?

Three, 3, days have gone by and no AMD worker nor ATI has done anything to help resolve the issue with ATI corrupt drivers.

At the very least shouldn't an AMD or ATI worker make an effort to give good customer service? Making an effort to give good tech support should also be a goal.

With that being said, 3 days and no one has said where I can obtain a working copy of the driver. I need this oversight corrected as soon as possible.

Just FYI....there are no techs or support people on this forum. We barely have  moderators.

This is a peer-to-peer user forum.
