I am pleased to introduce myself, and two of my colleagues: Ray, and Russell. The three of us are members of AMD's Global Customer Group, and recently each of us has taken on the role of Moderator for AMD's Game Forum.
AMD recognizes the influence and impact that social media has, and the Global Customer Care Group understands the importance of AMD's online community of forums users. As Moderators to the AMD Game Forum, we want to make a positive impact, and drive change. Over time, it is our goal to re-establish a connection with the members of this forum and engage everyone.
I invite Ray and Russ to post a quick, "Hello!" of their own, but I thought I would also share a bit about myself too. I've been with AMD for nearly 8 years now. I completed my degree in IT Management, and minored in International Business at Ryerson University. I am an Auxiliary Constable with the Toronto Police Service, and recently got my motorcycle license. It's my first season riding, and I found a 2005 Ninja500 for my first bike. Life is good!
Cheers, folks.
;Marc

Hi nice to see you here. I have ridden bikes all my life british or harleys to me as long as your riding its all good. The way to survive the first year is you have to think every car is going to not see you and pull out in front of you. Enjoy the bike nothing like it.

Good to see you guys! You are a blessing for this forum. BTW..my first bike was a BSA Lightning Rocket, then Triumph Bonneville, and the last one a Norton Commando. Does this give away my age?

Yup...wish I had kept them all...been worth some money now! The Norton was the fastest (by far) but my favorite was the BSA.

Welcome Marc.
I can now blame you for any and all problems related or not to AMD or this forum
Seriously though, any plans to revamp this forum to be great? It was once good, but it has been neglected for so long that it has fallen into sub-mediocrity. It really makes AMD look bad as a company, when the forum looks like doodoo.

Hey guys i guess I'd best introduce myself..
Ive been a member at the processor forums more or less right from the start and a moderator for most of that time. Im in england so I will be mostly active during GMT daylight hours and evenings. I'm an electronics engineer and relentless tinkerer who likes rugby, formula 1 and getting out with my friends and I'm kind of the unofficial tech support for most of the village :-)
is there a private moderator forum here where we can discuss any issues?
is there a trash can for dumping unwanted/repeat posts?
feedback/suggestion box?

There's a PRIVATE TOPIC thingy available where you can invite people to a particular discussion without the rest of the forums seeing it .
As a Mod you can delete superfluous / unwanted posts etc just by wielding the Mod-Sword-Of-Delete ..
There's a Forum Feedback page on the main front page of the forums : Forum News & Feedback
England eh ? What do you reckon the chances are of nicking the 6 Nations Rugby Grand Slam title off us next year then mate ? LOL ..

Looks like I'm joining the mod team as well. I'm a software engineer currently working on web based applications who is often asked to "volunteer" as a system/database/anything else admistrator when needed. If it's technical and broken it often ends up on my desk.
I've been involved with the processor forum since it came online in 2003. I initially declined the invitation to join in citing that I needed a change, and that I may soon not have the time needed to help moderate the forum. After some arm twisting I've reconsidered. It seemed like there wasn't much point in not being involved, so you're all stuck with me after all.
