We really need a seperate forum for laptops. It would be nice if the "read this before posting" sticky for that forum contained the AMD disclaimer about laptop driver limitations...ie. generic vs manufacturer supplied, switchable graphics, etc.

Thanks for the feedback.  I know we'll be looking at changes to the forum such as this in the near future.

Yes, and it would be a good idea to have links and/or FAQ pages about Laptop driver support etc, so that the flaming stops when we tell laptop owners here ( who shall go unnamed ) where they should be conducting their driver support or hardware support enquiries. Gets old very quick to be flamed for telling someone that AMD aren't responsible for X, Y or Z when it comes down to 3rd party pre-build support ..

Might I also suggest an additional sticky when the laptop section is created having information to the effect that laptops are not desktops and it is not AMDs fault that they do not have regular driver updates and that the AMD drivers may cause more issues than they fix?

Whatever is decided, there needs to be a very direct question Laptop or Desktop. I am seeing more HDxxxxM graphics that are not used in the traditional "laptops".
