Wanted to drop in and say hello to all of you here at the Game Forum.
I'm "MD - Moderator" from the Processor support forums. Have been moderating over there since 2003, however that is soon coming to an end with the "centralization".
Hopefully the other Processor Forums Moderators will migrate on over too.
I know TLH is here already.
Hopefully we will be elevated back to moderator status here where we can help out.
Regards - MD

Hopefully, then you can start locking the topics of the people who refuse the read the stickies, wonder why their toshitba laptop won't work with AMDs newest drivers, wonder why their X1xxx card or AGP card has issues...Oh, not to mention locking that idiotic Clevo thread, like everything is AMDs problem...

rofl MD. You can have a custom title after your upgrades. Agreed though it would be nice to keep our original start dates and post counts.

Hello AMD Game Forum'ers, I'm also migrating over from the AMD Processor Forums, but unlike MD - Moderator or TLH I was not a moderator on the Processor forum I was just an average user. I joined that forum in 2009. With the migration I was recommended by some others (thank you btw) to become a moderator which I was excited to accept!!
My AMD Processor Forum personna and background:
Canis-X The Frozen One

A little bit about me:
- Like to game, duh.....FPS mainly and lately my addicition has been BF3 where I game with my friends in a separate clan.
- I am a hardware enthusiast and like to have the latest and the greatest, if the money is there to afford it. That being said I currently own several different manufacturer's "stuff", yes and that does include the dark side companies for both CPU's and GPU's.
- I like to benchmark.
- I like to mod my cases.
- I love to overclock!!
- Outside of computers I also like to mountain bike whenever I can.
Thanks for having me and I look forward to growing here in the AMD Game Forum!!
Cheers!,
Canis-X

3 @AMD guys, Canis-X, TLH, MD, and IdleAltruism...7 moderators (and counting?). Have we finally seen the last of the 20+ post Chinese spambots that seem to plague this place?

I hope to help in that dept, because we have the same issue on the AMD Processor Forums as well.
Speaking of that, we have a thread over there called "Witch Hunt" that we used for the regular forum members to use to report spammers that the moderators then would check and used it to id them easily so that they could delete the posts/threads and then ban the account accordingly. Should we do something like that over here as well?
For reference: http://forums.amd.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=12&threadid=117454&enterthread=y

Are you guys going to move the open source forum over to this one? And give it it's own section?

Not sure, we're the new guys here, that's a question for the current staff. IIRC the staff here did ask for user input etc.
Here is that post:

Yeah, looked there first, but there is no "new topic" to ask the question. I just now asked it in a 'reply' form.

Count me in as another AMD Processors escapee. I spend my days forcing software to do unnatural things. I plan crazy mods. I also kill zombies.
And now someone else gets to fix these things. Hah!

Sooo... I think I got the signature thing figured out. If I edit it in Firefox, then submit, then edit it again, doing a copy+paste in IE9, it works! how many hurdles is that. However, I affixed it to the AMD responsibility bi, and that appears to have been dropped. odd....
