We have all recieved our share of spam. I would bet everyone has won a lottery in the UK or Nigeria, has had a long lost relative in europe die and leave us a fortune, been asked to help hide some money for a poor Communist downtrodden person in a country we can't pronounce, etc, etc. Well, today I recieved the ultimate. A email guaranteed to get me to open it. I don't mean to brag, but..I recieved a e-mail from Howie Mandel. Yup, the superstar of daytime television sent me a personel invitation to appear on Deal or No Deal. All I had to do was fill out some personal information and my tickets are on the way! I will keep you all informed as to the show date/time. Wish me luck!!

Sometimes you can get lucky and filter by "Unsubscribe" or "unsubscribe"...

For the 419's I reply that I only deal in Blood Diamonds or Kalashnikovs.

I also dare them to anonymously put $100 in my p@yp@l account.

I used to get A LOT of spam, but now I only get one every couple of months if that often. How? Any spam email I get I view the full header, get the Origination IP address, go to dnsstuff.com and use their Whois tool to find out who owns the email server, and I forward it to their abuse email (usually abuse@domain.com). Did get a couple from a Harvard server address one time, but most are from Yahoo.

hmmm..I hope you realize that the post was a attempt at humor I just thought it funny that 'they' would use a cretin  like Howie Mandel to induce you to open a spam e-mail.

A spambot posting spam in a thread about spam while talking about spam...Anyone else get that Monty Python feeling?
