Hey guys,

I just got to thinking, what would be the greatest chair for gaming? I feel like it would be something between an office chair and a recliner, but have a fold out table so that you can put your keyboard on. Post your ideas and I may even build this design if it's good enough but I just wanted so see what you guys thought about it and what you think would make the ultimate gaming chair.

I think everyone will have a different opinion on this, but I actually prefer a very simple office chair, small but comfortable, that I can push under the desk so that its out of the way; but it would be cool to have a chair with 2 built-in speakers behind your head plus built-in subwoofer that you can use in combination with your desktop speakers for 5.1 surround sound. The biggest thing for me is definately comfort though.

I'm not a "hardcore gamer", so my ideal chair is an antique wooden chair featured in many classic Film Noir movies and police shows.

All I know is I'm so happy with the one I have that I don't want to part with it even though it's got rips and holes in the front where my knees are.  It's a nice big office chair with leather, big arm rests and a nice big, tall back to lean on.  I've probably had it for fifteen years now.

Holy cow ... that reminds me of the thing they put Arnold Schwarzenegger in, in Total Recall.

Maybe you should try to make the chair just like the one owned by Joey and Chandler on "Friends". it's a really comfortable chair/couch that has that feet holder that can be "activated" by pulling the gear beside the chair. If you manage to make this gaming chair, it would be freakin' awesome!!

The chair in the oval office of the white house.
