One of the many articles

Makes sense to me, if a company over hypes a product which causes their stock to rise, and then rushes to get it out which causes a negative experience due to lack of bugfixing and testing and causes reduced revenue, then they should be held accountable. Figure 7% drop in stock price times thousands of shares, that's a major chunk of cash.

We can only hope. Setting an example would/could/should warn the other developers that they have to be accountable not only to the buyers/players but to the investors as well....which is a new wrinkle that I as a stock holder would welcome. The stock today is $22.29..52 week high $28.13 (just before release)..52 week low $13.29.

It is amazing that you don't see more of this. There are lawyers out there who find ways to get money for idiots who eat a tube of denture cream or swallow a bottle of Tylenol when it specifically says not to do that on the bottle, yet very few try and go after companies for artificially inflating their stock prices. Then again there are some really powerful guys at the SEC who go over their FY GAAP reports with a fine tooth comb and electron microscope...

I'd blame the stupid people who rush buying COD54678654 and BF346534 without a second thought. EA just makes business decisions and works like a business. What's surprising in this?

Yea, you can't create a bunch of hype, run up the stock price, then dump it. Only day traders are allowed to do that

But the latest Call of Duty game is quite awesome, dude!! Battlefield is also pretty good, but not as good as COD, let alone TitanFall.
