Prepping time! Hardware and supplies needed...

first thing I did was make sure the 2011 socket work with both mounts.

Worked on the back of the board first starting off with some kneeded eraser.

Closed cell neoprene and the backplate.

All mounted up I tightened it pretty good to keep it as air tight as possible.

Moving on..

The part that I hate about Intel boards for this. Removing the CPU hold down. Those pins bend way to easy.

Cpu in the protect the pins and starting to lay down the kneeded eraser. This time Im using a different method then my last prep by putting the cpu hold down back on.

Im using some white electrical tape to protect caps and other areas from getting eraser stuck where it makes it hard to remove.

Glad the hold down is back on.. No bent pins

Building some more eraser around.

More tape to cover up around the cpu.

All done with the kneeded eraser.

2 layers of shop towels next.

Neoprene is next.

A couple of shot of the evap head to test the mount. I used some Armaflex sticky sided neoprene around the mount to keep as much air out as possible.
