hi i have a amd mobility 5730 and i started over clocking it i kinda made a mistake and set my over clock to 720 core clocks,970 mem clocks :/ my pc hit 75 degrees and everytime i play an mmo it keep overheat and cut of on me im to stupid to notice and keep doing this for about 3-5 hours. it was suppose to be set at 820 core clocks and 970 mem clock and the temp stays around 66 degrees :/ i was only wondering if my mistake damage my gpu


my pc is a

Lenovo y560


4gb ram

and you know the gpu already

its original gpu setting 650 core clock,800 mem clock

Have you tried setting the clocks back to stock?  One shouldn't try to over clock a laptop....they run hot as it is with little airflow.

Even so, 75 degrees on a mobility chip is nothing, sounds more like the OC isn't stable. But as Canis said you really shouldn't overclock a laptop, their cooling systems can only handle a certain amount and the airflow is very restricted, so components are often underclocked from stock specs to fit a design.

You shouldn't overclock laptops. It can be done though (I've had much success with Turion/nforce models). I particularly wouldn't bother with that PoS (intel), but if you do, keep it on an aluminum cooling pad.
