i bought a sapphire vapor-x 7950 graphics card yesterday it comes with duel bios and a bios switch . the default one is  850 mhz gpu clock and the 2nd bios will push this to 950 mhz. now i am super confuse that if i use the second bios(just using the switch that comes with gpu and provided by sapphire) which is similar to overclock , will it shorten life span of my HD 7950 gpu? Note: the switch will push the clock 850 to 950. Please help me out.

It won't measurably shorten the life, as a GPU is made to take high temperatures and be hammered hard. There are people on here (or used to be) that still use overclocked HD 3870's, and they're 5 years old.

okei so i am going for the ez boost by sliding the bios switch. Hope i wont face any problem in future xD. btw one more question how much avarage framerate difference by pushing the clock from 850mhz to 950 mhz?

In my experience you should expect ~1 FPS increase for every 10mhz core clock on average, as some games are *****console ports which don't respond well to GPU overclocks while some others respond very well, so I would expect at least a 10 FPS gain.
