AOD seems to have a problem on startup in Windows 8 - the OS starts without the start-up sound, and the AOD profile isn't loaded (default cpu clocks). If I then restart Windows, it boots correctly with the startup sound and the OC profile is loaded correctly. This is somewhat annoying as it means restarting my pc every time I start it. Apart from this, AOD works as well as it always did in Win7.

Update: A recent OS update seems to have fixed the issue as the error no longer occurs. Windows now loads the required profile on start-up, and plays the start-up sound. Thank you Microsoft, I guess.

Not working for me on resume from sleep. need to check cold boot but OC settings don't stick. changed from local to my admin account on the AOD assitant service to no avail.

Why do want to OC with AOD anyways?

Go into the BIOS OC your system from there and you won't have to worry about your settings not sticking when you pc wakes up.
