I am thinking of upgrading my video card soon, i own a Sapphire Vapor-X HD 6870 1GB and i am looking to ugrade it to either the SAPPHIRE HD 7870 2GB GDDR5 XT or the SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition.

what are the pros/cons between them?
which would be a better upgrade?

any help would be appreciated, i want to make sure i make a good choice when i do this upgrade

I don't know much on AMD cards anymore, but, looking atthe specs.

The XT seems to have a faster RAM spec clock, which is good, if it's like an nVidia card, you could OC the crap outta the core, and make the core similar to the ghz edition, and likely get a killer card out of it. I'd wait till someone with better ATI/AMD experience answers, but thats my opinion.

I don't think that your system need something better than 7870, but 7950's price is close enough. So 7950 is the best choice.
