i have it right now at 10 % which is 3.9 so far my temps havent gone over 40 c do you think its possible to get more out of this chip safetly were i can run it all the time? or is how im running now safe?


amd cpus owned phenom 1 9750//amd phenom2 955 / 965 / 975 / 1100t//athlon2 240//fx 8350//most proud overclock 4.3 on a 975 on a asus m4a79xtd evo

That H100i will keep it cool enough, as long as you don't use to much voltage (1.5v or more) you'll be fine.

I have been able to pretty much run all my Phenom II's @ 4.0Ghz.I have never had to up any voltages. All have been done strictly using the multiplyer and have been 100% stable.Temps have never been an issue this way.

I find that 4.0Ghz is the sweet spot with these chips.Any gains over that is really negligible.

Dont forget to always do your O/C only from the BIOS!

Unless there is a need to push the chip further, the gains are very small

I had a Phenom II 955 stock was 3.2 GHZ, any over clock passed 3.7GHZ gave almost nothing back in performace or benchmarks.

If you download AMD Overdrive it will tell you how much thermal headroom you have to overclock further (I assume 40 c temp is under full load?)
