10.3 dose not work 10.3A the preview driver works. follow the link i listed and you get all of the 10.3 goodness less individual color corection i can live with that as i have eyfinity in protrait and crossfired

you can also google search for 10.3A and find the download site yourself. i have not heard from amd since opening my case i sent thiem the info that 10.3 is broke but 10.3a works so what ever they changed from 10.3a to 10.3 is what is cuaseing my problem at least i hope they work for you too. the privew driver that is.

Sorry all I can say is 10.3a worked for me i am ruing 2 hpw2207 dvi connected and one dell p2210 display port connected all in P mode and in a eyfinity group 3x1 with crossfire enabled.

Granted I did a full uninstall deleted the ati folders in program manager as some files were left behind from the uninstall, then rebooted then reinstalled with all off my monitors in a landscape. Rebooted then change them back to P and created a new eyfinity group and then checked to make sure crossfire was on

Yes, see I don't think we have the same issue.  I'm not even using eyefinity.  I don't create a group.  All I want is for windows to be able to display two monitors in portrait and one in landscape.  I can't currently.

I was having the same problem with a greyed out rotate option with Catalyst drivers 10.2 through 10.4, three U2410 monitors hooked up via DVI, DVI and DisplayPort to a 5870.  Solved it by switching one of the DVIs to HDMI, the rotate option immediately became available.

This is not fixed in 10.4 drivers either. I have a 5870.

For me, unplugging the displayport monitor allows the other two to be rotated. But none are allowed to be rotated while 3 monitors are connected.

Very annoying.

I too have DVI, DVI, and Displayport. I guess I could try DVI, HDMI, and DisplayPort, as Petter99 had success with, to see if that works. But IMO, that's just a workaround. I wish they'd fix this issue...

** EDIT - UPDATE **

HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI configuration allowed HDMI monitor to be rotated. But not the others two. *sigh*

Sorry to hear that, individualist; my rotate option works on all three monitors.

It'd be just peachy if ATI would fix this, or at least acknowledged that it is an issue.

Well, if it's any comfort my rotate options are greyed out again for all monitors ...

I'm having the same issue and it's quite frustrating at this point. Earlier I was able to rotate one monitor by unplugging it and plugging it back in. I have two DVI and one DisplayPort. At this point it seems not matter what I do, I only get the rotate option if I have 2 monitors connected. The moment I connect the third, the option disappears. How did you guys open cases with AMD? I'd be glad to send them any info they need. This point I find the potential of the CCC really good, but it seems so buggy. I have issues with the profiles not always quite doing what they are supposed to, but I can work with that.

10.7, still not fixed.

Additionally, still not mentioned in known issues of release notes.

I had this problem with a PLP config (20" portrait on sies, 30" landscape in middle) and was able to recover the ability to rotate by creating a 3x1 group with all the monitors (this obviously looked horrible), then extending the sides 1 by 1 and rotating as I did and then lastly increasing the screen resolution of the middle monitor.

Hope this helps someone else!

Afraid this didn't work for me. The rotate options are still not there in CCC or windows.

Getting tired of this crock. I want to be able to rotate my screens from 3x landscape to 3x portrait eyefinity. But I can't rotate at all. Keep waiting for one of the driver updates to fix this. But it doesn't seem like it's ever coming.

Last night this trick worked: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1524417&highlight=poor+fix+portrait

But by today, the rotate options were gone again. W. T. F.

Ok. I got the rotate options to come back with the following steps.

I was in 3x landscape extended desktop, and couldn't change rotation.

I created a 3x1 group.

I then disabled the group.

Then I re-extended the desktop to the other two monitors.

And the rotate options were available again.

Not sure if this is the reason but, previously, I wasn't switching out of eyefinity by explicitly disabling the monitor group - but by switching to an extended desktop profile that I had saved.  Maybe this caused the rotate option to be stuck "off"?

Just adding my name to the growing list of people who can't get portrait mode to work. My three monitors are connected through DVI, HDMI, and Display Port. Like others, I can disconnect one and get all the functionality back (portrait mode) but not with all three connected.

Come on, throw us a bone here. At least add it to the known issues.

Still broke.  Win XP32

This was actually a FIX?

http://blogs.amd.com/play/2009/09/11/ati-catalyst-99-driver-everything-you-want-to-know-and-why-you-should-care/

Idiot me decided to let windows update run an update on the vid driver.

Jumped from 8-11 to 10-9 and ran into this bull.

Is there a consensus on the last known good? 9-8 before they "fixed it"?

Confirmed to still be an issue, but I managed to get it to work following individualist's method. It could simply be because of the way the presets are stored.

In any case, I've made presets so I won't have to be mucking about with the settings directly anymore.

Strange how so few of us are having this problem...or maybe only a select few use their monitors in both landscape and portrait!

Basically figured out this issue--there must be a flag that gets set when eyefinity groups are activated, that doesn't get unset when using a preset to get to normal mode. This flag stops going from landscape to portrait while in eyefinity mode.

This also proves true when going into eyefinity with a preset after going from say a portrait preset (after using the group disable workaround), to the "normal" mode, and then using eyefinity preset. You'll end up in clone mode because the flag for eyefinity mode doesn't get adjusted when leaving eyefinity.

Also, because of this, presets for portrait modes don't work until you disable the initial eyefinity group...once again because of the 'flag' setting.
