I have right now connected these displays:

3x 27" LCDs iiyama ProLite B2776HDS (max. resolution 1920x1080), 4x 24" LCDs Samsung 2443BW (max. resolution 1920x1200), 1x Acer P241W (max. resolution 1920x1200), 1x Dell U2410 (max. resolution 1920x1200), 1x Benq 241W (max. resolution 1920x1200), 1x Samsung 2433 (max. resolution 1920x1200).

I have all these LCDs connected trought standard DVI cables to adapters. from FirePro VGA I have miniDP to DVI adapters (these adapters were included in FirePro pack).

I can see all these LCDs in screen resolution options but I can't extended more than 7 of these LCDs,

1. you NOT answer for what cards and outputs connected 7 monitors that worked?
2. are you sure that mDP->DVI adapters are ACTIVE????? because with passive adapters you can use only TWO monitors on each videocard!
3. what motherboard you use? what PCI-E configuration?
4. what PSU you have?
5. are you check all 12 monitor work in single mode configuration?

Important

Important: When using mini DisplayPort-to-singlelink DVI adapters, quad output is divided into two pairs (displays 1 and 2, and displays 3 and 4). The displays used in each pair must be identical (with the same manufacturer and model number) and must be identically configured (with the same resolution). The pairs do not have to be identical to each other, however.

according to this and have six different monito models you can use:
4x 24" LCDs Samsung 2443BW on first card (2+2)
3x 27" LCDs iiyama ProLite B2776HDS on second card (2+1)
and 1+1 on third card

max 9 (nine)!

to use all 12 you must use monitors with DP or identical pair for dvi.

they are connected in to the ATI FirePro 2460 and it is trought miniDP to DVI adapter.

2. are you sure that mDP->DVI adapters are ACTIVE????? because with passive adapters you can use only TWO monitors on each videocard!

I am not 100% sure but I have in one card connected three monitors and they are working this mean that they can be active

3. what motherboard you use? what PCI-E configuration?

It is EVGA P67 FTW and I have the VGS in PCI-E 2.0 slots.

4. what PSU you have?

I have 650Watt PSU

5. are you check all 12 monitor work in single mode configuration?

Yes I have all LCDs are working ok in single mode.

1. what pair work? or work 1+1?
2. you extande by ATI CCC or by Windows Display manager?
3. you buy these 4 monitors at same time? check are they identical - in monitor menu check monitor information - version of firmware, hardware revision, date of manufacturing, etc.

OK.

I have tryed several combinations and it is very strange...

For example I have bought all three 27" iiyama in same day from same shop but they are not working if I am connecting two in first two slots.... They are only working if I connect one to first slot and one to third slot....

But for example if I connect 24" DELL in third slot and 24" samsung to fourth slot (which is one pair) they are working!!! But in the important note there is "The displays used in each pair must be identical" but these two LCD are not identical!!!

I don't get it
