I have a strange issue with my new 6950 and I hope anyone of you can help me (or at least point me at the right direction ;-))

Recently I performed an upgrade from a 5770 to an 6950. Connected to the 5770 were 3 Monitors - 2 using DVI and 1 (a Dell U2412m) using (native) DP. Now i wanted (surprise, surprise..) to use the same configuration using a 6950 replacing the 5770.

The problem now is that the screen connected to the DisplayPort 'flickers' randomly (best describtion is that the picture is black for not even a second - it happens without a specific usage scenario). It doesn't matter if the Dell is used alone (other 2 screens disconnected) or together with the other 2.

I already tried everything I could think of (even reinstalled Windows) and I don't know what to do anymore.

One thing which seem to fix the issue at least for a while is to change the resolution to a lower one and change it to 1920x1200 back again.

Could it be that the display port cable is faulty (but the same configuration worked using the 5770...)? Would a DisplayPort to DVI adapter help? (and connecting the Dell using this adapter?).

Thank you in advance!

I bought an active DisplayPort to DVI adapter (this one: Active DP to SL-DVI-D Adapter) and now everything works. It seems either my cable or some incompatiblity between the Dell and the 6950 were the problem.

Thank you.
