There is no more "Catalyst Crew Feedback". It is now "AMD issue reporting form". The link is on the main AMD page..."AMD Issue Reporting Form". It's about time. According to AMD gaming blog and the Catalyst guy...AMD is going to really listen to what is sent them...

So, for technical issues this is the place to go  http://www.amdsurveys.com/se.ashx?s=5A1E27D20B2F3EAC  and for peer-to-peer help/advice/guesses use the forum.

Still suffers from one of the major problems of the previous iteration, which is that the latest driver releases are not listed in the drop box...

12.4 is the latest release....beta releases can be added in your description , as in " I also tried the 12.6 beta with the same result"

The form is what matters.

I realize AMD is the place to report issues with catalyst but I thought I would post here to see if others are having or have had and resolved this issue (which I have never had before this reformat). I reformatted and installed the 12.4 Catalyst suite after reformatting so, previous installs are not an issue here. After the install my overdrive controllers were missings...no fan, temps or OC controls were there so I checked to see what version I had installed and it said 11.5 so I went through the uninstall/reinstall process again, this time making sure I downloaded the correct driver. This time it has a driver packaging version inconsistent with ANY driver listed on the AMD driver list.I have reformatted 4 times now with the same results.System info below

Probably because, and it's been like it since Cat 12.2, the .dll files needed for overclocking ( if that's what you mean ) have been omitted from the driver packs, so you have to use them from a previous pack.

The driver version naming is bugged too depending on which pack you're upgrading from to whatever pack you're installing .. been like that for a few releases now too ..

Sloots...I said I had reformatted and installed 12.4 off the bat. There were no other drivers installed...when I built this rig last year I just pulled my old XFX 4870 off the old board and put it on this one,I used it until I purchased a 6870 in April of this year (2012). Installed the new card, boxed up the old one and, unitalled the old drivers and installed the Cat 12.4 suite with no problems or issues.I then let the grand kids on this computer which caused some problems(non-graphics related) so, I just reformatted,no biggie but now I am having issues with the 12.4 drivers installing something other then the 12.4 drivers...check out my photobucket pictures. http://s634.photobucket.com/albums/uu62/ceechow/?action=view¤t=ATI6870driverissues2.jpg there are more picture of the issue.Srry about the quality I haven't installed my screen capture software on this reformat so I just used my EOS

Check your installed drivers against these  http://developer.amd.com/download/ccc/Pages/default.aspx  .  The 12.4 drivers were known to list a different version...when in fact they were the 12.4's.

I all ready said I checked my version with the ATI list and the "ATI Drivers" I have are not on the list....I even posted pictures on photobucket SHOWING my "Driver Packaging Version" and you can see the ones I have are NOT on the ATI driver list. Let me say this again in simpler terms: I was runing 12.4 WITHOUT issues from April untill I REFORMATTED and REINSTALLED THE 12.4 DRIVERS on JUNE 15th.

Simpler Still

12.4  "DRIVER PACKAGING VERSION" From the CCC Driver details list 8.961-120405a-137224c-ATI

"DRIVER PACKAGING VERSION" From My CCC 8.961-120405a-137813c-ATI       This is what I get when I download the 12.4 Catalyat Suite NOW....this is not what I got when I downloaded the Drivers back in April. Whats going on here? Did the download become corrupt and it gives everyone the 12.4 downloader but intalls whatever it is that I have? I don't know...but all my games and aps are having driver conflicts now that I didnt have before the reinstall of these drivers.

Oh yes heres another interesting thing. If you google the Driver Packaging Version 8.961-120405a-137224c-ATI (The Correct 12.4 driver) you get pages of information, then Google 8.961-120405a-137813c-ATI (My version of the 12.4 drivers) and you get nothing, nada, zip!

Catalyst 12.6 seems to be riddled with bugs and problems.  I'm restoring Catalyst 12.4, which worked OK.  Is there any security risks?

tyw7 check my post above...2 up from yours.....I think there is something wrong with the downloader for 12.4....I think it's corrupted by who or what I don't know. Also the 12.6 drivers are beta and as such they are a W.I.P..
