Personally I like the idea, I LOVE Seagate hard drives, still have one from 1995 (only about 600mb!) cranking away after thousands of hours of use. I love the idea of them potentially staying separate as well, as in "OCZ, a wholly owned subsidiary of Seagate Technologies", as Seagate is a profitable company with great products, and OCZ is a profitable company with great products, so Seagate could just use them as a blue chip acquisition to boost their books rather than tell them how to run their business.

Hi yes I used to use seagate drives until they dropped most of there oem drives to one year warrenty and of course the 7200.11 bit I had to replace quite a few of those. But I guess with hard drives these days they all have there problems. The old ones you could drop from 4 ft and have no problems. Hopefully its only a rumor LOL.
